SALT & PEPPER BROCCOLI

Broccoli is one of those vegetables we hated growing up. But you realize as you get older, this vegetable is one of the elites.


Part of the cabbage family, Broccoli is high in many nutrients, such as fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, and potassium. It also boosts more protein than most other vegetables.


This green tree veggie can be eaten raw or cooked, it really depends on how you prefer it. There are so many ways to prepare broccoli, here’s one.



Ingredients

  • Broccoli

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic

  • Butter

  • Onion

Feel free to add any other spices you like such as, vegetable spice, onion powder and so on!

Cooking & Preparation

  1. Wash your broccoli and pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. Cut it up into individual “tree” pieces.

  3. Melt butter in a pan on medium heat.

  4. While your butter is melting, chop up some garlic and some onions.

  5. Once the butter is melted throw in your garlic and onions and sauté until soft and fragrant.

  6. Throw in your broccoli And season with salt and pepper. Be generous with your seasoning because broccoli is a very bland vegetable the more pepper you put the more flavorful it becomes. You can also be creative and add other spices.

  7. Sauté until your broccoli is soft and tender. Add more butter if you have to.
