GARLIC & MUSHROOM POTATO GRATIN

Ingredients
Potatoes
Garlic
Button Mushrooms
Onions
Black pepper
Salt
Cream cheese
Fresh cream
Olive oil
Butter
Thyme
Cooking & Preparation
Preheat oven to 230•C
Add about 4 garlic cloves in the oven to roast for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes remove garlic and set aside.
Slice your potatoes into thin round pieces. Try not to make the slices too thin.
Do the same with your onions.
Once your potato slices are ready, season with salt, pepper and thyme.
Transfer your potatoes and onions to a greased baking tray. Use olive oil to grease.
Massage your butter into the potatoes. Use 1 tablespoon of butter.
Take your roasted garlic and chop them finely. Add these to your potatoes.
Slice your mushrooms and add those to your dish as well.
Pour fresh cream over your potatoes. You can pour as much as you want. The more you add the creamier the dish.
Finish off with grated cheddar cheese and Cream cheese.
Cover with foil paper/aluminum foil and cook for about 30 minutes.
Once you reach your 30 minute mark, remove the foil and cook for another 35 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.
