Hello beef, mushroom and the unconventional mustard sauce. I know many of you will be skeptical about the use of mustard but you have to believe me when I tell you that this sauce is underrated.
Ever heard of stroganoff? Well this is a very similar version. I used regular mustard for this recipe because regular things deserve love too, you don’t just have to use it in your hotdog or burger.
The mustard gives it a sweet but tangy flavor. It’s definitely a dish everyone can enjoy. I used the Mr Sauce mustard sauce for this recipe.

Ingredients
Beef strips
Onion
Garlic
Fresh cream
Mustard (Mr. Sauce)
White button mushrooms
Butter
Salt
Black pepper
Thyme
Beef broth/stock
Preparation & Cooking
Wash your steak and remove excess fat and cut into fine strips. Pat dry with a paper towel
Season with thyme, salt and pepper.
On the stove, heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
Place half the beef in the pan.
Leave for 30 seconds or until beef is brown and crust is formed.
Quickly turn the beef and leave for another 30 seconds or so.
Remove the beef and place onto a plate.
Add another tablespoon of olive oil and repeat the process with the rest of the beef.
Turn down the heat to low, Add butter and melt.
Once the butter is melted add onions and garlic, cook until they start to brown.
Add your beef back and fry for a few minutes.
Add your cream and mustard. Simmer for 3-4 minutes. The more cream the better.
Add your mushrooms and leave to simmer
Add 1/4 a cup of beef broth, Stir until incorporated.
Simmer for a minute or two then remove from stove immediately.
Serve with rice or pasta.
Enjoy!
